Mont blank massif remains to be the deadliest mountain on the earth. It has a height of 15,782 ft and is the tallest peak in the Alpine range. Year in year out, climbers have been dying due to rocks slides and steep rocks. It is the mountain with the highest number of fatalities with an average of 100 climbers per year. Since history, it has claimed lives of 6000 people. Thanks to the success of President Theodore Roosevelt who climbed it in 1886, the mountain is very popular.
The second mountain on the list is the Annapurna. The height of the mountain is 26,246 ft. The tallest peak is the Nepal Annapurna that attracts climbers from all over the world. 191 people have successfully climbed this mountain since 1950. It has seen 60 people die as they try to reach the summit of Annapurna. it is referred as the most dangerous mount for those with 8000 meters peak.
K2 is another mountain under focus and is the second tallest mount on the earth. It is located in the border of Pakistan and China with a height of 28251 ft. Climbing Kilimanjaro is easy but not K2. This happens to be the case even on the easiest route where there are steep rocks, complicated glaciers and ice pillars that can collapse. The mount has a bad reputation for women climbers. Among the six female climbers that gave a trial to mount since 2003, five of them died.
Another mountain under this category is the Nanga Parbat which is known as the man eater. The mount is located in Pakistan and has a height of 26657ft. It features an enormous ridge of ice and rock. It is the ninth tallest mountain in the world and has the tallest mountain face. It has claimed the lives of 31 climbers by 1953.
